ABOUT

Bianca Gittens work explores the discomfort of crossroads—the confrontation of change, both internal and external—in light of inevitable transformation, transmutation, and the alchemy of pain. Their work channels personal and collective experiences of loss, identity, and resilience, using color and movement as a means of self-reclamation.
As a queer, BIPOC, and immigrant artist, Bianca navigates themes of identity, belonging, and self-definition in a world that often imposes limitations. The practice of doodling became a way to process grief, confront societal expectations, and embrace authenticity beyond binaries—challenging inherited narratives.
This body of work serves as both a personal reckoning and an act of resistance—an assertion of existence in a world that often seeks to diminish intersectionality . Through each piece, Bianca reclaims space, embraces transformation, and chooses creation as a form of defiance, healing, and radical selfhood.
